Father McGivney Catholic High

At Father McGivney Catholic High School, we believe:
Students should model the teachings of Jesus Christ through prayer, service, and evangelization and should be educated based upon the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

In a collaborative and cooperative spirit being fostered between parents, the school and the community.

In serving others as Jesus Christ did, both as individuals and as a faith community.

In providing a learning environment that engages

our students as active learners who accept the responsibility to achieve their greatest academic potentials.

In cultivating a supportive, healthy and challenging environment which recognizes the dignity, needs and diversity of all individuals.

The Administration, Faculty, Staff, Coaches and Parents will serve as role-models of Christ’s love by establishing and exhibiting an atmosphere of mutual respect.

Father McGivney Catholic High School opened it's doors in the Fall of 2012 with a freshman class of 19 students.  We have added additional classes and enrollment has grown to over 300 students and keeps growing.

At Father McGivney Catholic High School we prepare our students for the future through the integration of appropriate technology into their learning experience. Effective use of technology supports the academic formation of our students while encouraging individual and group engagement. The use of technology enhances the learning process by fostering individual and group creativity.

Father McGivney Catholic High School is a 1:1 Chromebookschool. Each student receives a
chrome book with interactive e-textbooks which provides a variety of resources enriching our students' learning experience. Faculty members use this and other forms of technology to enhance their curriculum, making their classroom instruction more impactful. Students are taught that their chrome book is a tool for education and not a substitute for the personal interactions between students and faculty .

Fundraising for our permanent location began in the Fall of 2013 and we raised over $5 million.  The groundbreaking for the facility at the corner of Old Troy Road and Bouse Road in Glen Carbon occurred in September of 2014 and construction of the facility occurred over the next year.  Our permanent campus opened in August of 2015 with all four classes being enrolled now.
