Catholic Social Services of Washtenaw County is pleased to announce we are expanding our continuum of child welfare programming for Family Preservation.  Full-time positions available for qualified candidates with BA or BSW for Families First Case Workers with experience in providing in-home services to families. Provision of intensive home-based family intervention, life skills education, and supportive services to assist in the preservation of families. Position carries a caseload of two (2) families. Must have ability to work a flexible schedule (including non-traditional hours) based on families’ needs, average at least 10 hours of face-to-face contact with each client family served and provide cell phone number to families with 24/7 availability. Other requirements include, positive, non-judgmental attitude toward families in crisis, knowledge of child development and parent – child relationships, ability to engage with and relate to families with multiple problems, cultural and ethnic sensitivity, crisis intervention skills, knowledge and skills in the areas of substance abuse and domestic violence. Office located in Jackson, MI. Position requires driving to sites throughout Jackson County.
