Stonecrest Home Arts, Inc provides opportunities for women and girls to experience how the work of the home communicates love, builds strong and joyful families, and contributes to thriving societies.

Programs

The Art of Living for Women is a national movement, with regional leaders in Boston, Greenwich, CT, New York City, Delray Beach, FL, St. Louis, Houston, Milwaukee, Chicago and Michigan! The first AOLW seminar in Virginia was held in 2017 and was a great success.

The unique hands-on methodology of this international program gives young women the skills they need to take care of people with confidence and artistry. Through action, philosophical reflection, competitions and projects, The Art of Living programs attract young women to embrace a life of service to others.

The Art of Living programs include:

  • The Art of Living Kickstart: high impact, hands-on program including formation in faith and friendship for 7th and 8th grade girls.
  • The Art of Living Fundamentals: a 12-class introduction to the fundamentals of culinary art, fashion, home health and interior design for high school girls.
  • The Art of Living Master It!: in-depth master classes for those seeking greater proficiency.
  • The Art of Living Annual Conference: a weekend of seminars, competitions, workshops and spiritual enrichment.

Stonecrest also participated in an Incontro Romano event with great success, and we plan to continue working with this program in the future!

We also seeks to help young people gain professional experience through our internship program. Our apprenticeship methodology gives our interns the opportunity to immerse themselves in daily food preparation, ordinary household duties, projects and creative events in a professional setting.

Available internships include:

  • Summer Home Arts Program: a three week summer program for high school girls.

  • Work Study Internship: an ongoing after school and summer job program for high school girls.

  • College students who are graduates of our High School programs can apply for College Internships. Our college interns support us and our programs by working as mentors and by helping us get our job done!
