Our Mission

Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy is committed to partnering with families to provide a high quality academic education in a safe environment based on the religious teachings of the Roman Catholic Faith.

Our Vision

Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy will be recognized throughout the Menominee area as a vibrant, distinctively Catholic elementary school in the classical liberal arts tradition.  Faculty and staff at Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy will provide students with individualized attention in a Christian atmosphere of acceptance and challenge in order to aid them in  growing in Christ and the Catholic faith, developing a strong feeling of self-worth, and being academically prepared for their future.

As the primary educators of your children, a Catholic Classical Education is one of the best gifts you can give your child.  The richness of the Catholic faith coupled with a natural and exciting way for students to learn makes Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy a unique and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for your family.

Education comes from the Latin root word educare meaning to "draw out" or "lead forth."  Saint John Paul II seeks to lead students to the Truth beginning in our Kindergarten readiness program all the way through 8th grade.  Offering not only rigorous academics and formation in Christian discipleship, Saint John Paul II also offers a family that will support your family as you seek to instill excellence in your children.

Our Faith is the most important part of our mission here at Saint John Paul II, and everything we do involves Prayer.  Through cultivating Virtue, celebrating the sacraments and lives of the Saints we help our students build character as they fall in love with the person of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist every week.

For the past 140 years, our approach to education is to set a high standard of excellence and support students as they strive to achieve it.  From math and science to English to Latin and history, our curricula focuses on aiming students towards Truth, Beauty, and Goodness.  Through the three stages of the Trivium (Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric), students learn the depth of an idea, why it is important, and how to communicate it effectively.  Critical and objective thinking are priceless skills that students at Saint John Paul II develop and practice during their time here.
