St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church

St. Gregory the Great Church and School

St. Gregory is a vibrant and engaging parish with services in English and Spanish as well as over 50 ministries for all age groups. Our faith community of St. Gregory the Great Parish is a witness to the love of Christ by living out the Gospel values and our baptismal promises in the world. We work to accomplish this through the use of our gifts of time, talent and treasure as we serve God and one another in the many parish ministries found in our parish family.

Established in 1959 under the leadership of Father Michael Keller, St. Gregory the Great Parish celebrated its first Mass on August 15th in Peters Elementary School. A year later, three Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth opened a parish school with 143 students and three portable classrooms, donated by Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish. The parish dedicated a church in 1961 and later constructed a convent.

Each ministry under these headings is equally important in the communal and spiritual life of the parish. New parishioners have continually expressed how they have been welcomed and drawn to a fuller participation through the example of those who are already living their faith by serving their church.

St. Gregory School, committed to the values of the Catholic Church, is an intellectually challenging, harmonious community in Broward County. Serving early childhood through 8th grade, students are encouraged to demonstrate honorable values, embrace meaningful service and reflect learned knowledge. We have cultivated an environment where students genuinely love to learn and seamlessly advance on a foundation built for their unique successes throughout life.

The school community of St. Gregory believes the purpose of Catholic education is to develop a living, conscious and active faith that will meet the demands of the gospel in our constantly changing world.

The school is a vital part of the St. Gregory Parish community. St. Gregory School recognizes the parent as the primary religious educator of the child. The school promotes, encourages, and supports our parents in this joint endeavor and welcomes their involvement in the school.

We are excited to welcome new members to our community and team! Please take a look at our open positions and we look forward to hearing from all qualified candidates.
