Full-time position available providing a variety of vital advocacy, educational, and supportive services for low-income and other vulnerable seniors throughout Washtenaw County. This critical position has a central role in the Senior Services Department by providing intake and assessment of senior clients and the facilitation of substance use prevention services, including community presentations and workshops.
The Resource Advocate acts as a representative of the CSSW Senior Services department throughout the community, therefore the ideal candidate must have excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in social work or related human services field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus one year of direct service experience, preferably with older adults.
Competitive pay based on experience. Total compensation includes comprehensive benefit plan and 401k with employer contribution, plus paid time off and a generous paid holiday schedule that includes Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day. Due to COVID-19 position may initially perform a combination of required on-site and remote work.
