Position Available:  Online Enrollment Counselor

Position Reports to:  Director of Online and Graduate Enrollment

Department:  Enrollment Management, Admissions

FLSA Status:  Exempt

Schedule:  Full-time; Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; must be able to work evenings and weekends, as necessary, especially during the summer; occasional travel, as required

POSITION SUMMARY

The Online Enrollment Counselor is responsible for making initial contact with inquiries and with providing thorough customer service throughout the entire admissions process and beyond.  Occasional travel to outside sell at conferences may occur.  Sales and customer service skills are a must.  It is also important to be extremely efficient and a good problem solver.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Make daily calls to new inquiries.
  2. Contact existing inquiries to discuss the application process.
  3. Contact applicants to assist them in completing applications.
  4. Contact admittees to assist with email setup, Blackboard setup, and Registration.
  5. Provide referral information to students regarding Financial Aid.
  6. Organize marketing and communications to prospects and applicants.
  7. Manage files and related documents.

Work Experience

  • Sales experience is desired.
  • Customer service experience is desired.

  • Process Management: Is effective at identifying and organizing various process steps into an efficient work flow.


 

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

 

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Skilled in the use of social media as a marketing and community building tool.

 

Workplace Factors

  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as necessary, especially during the summer.
  • Occasional travel, as required.
  • Must understand and support the Mission of Franciscan University of Steubenville.
