Job Description

Creatio is offering a 3-6-month internship designed to gain insight into practical, non-profit related experience with an emphasis on grant research and writing. As a junior member of the team, you will have the opportunity to learn and work on projects with a goal of guiding all people to encounter the beauty of creation and the Creator. The internship is unpaid but may include a project trip sponsored by Creatio.

Who We Are: Creatio is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit Catholic organization in the state of Colorado, and our mission is to guide all people to encounter the beauty of creation and the Creator through service to the poor, mission trips, outdoor adventure and environmental stewardship.

 

What Our Organization Does: Creatio works to promote this mission of reconciling human persons with the environment through service to the poor, mission trips, outdoor adventure and environmental stewardship.  Through these experiences, we work to create an environment of encounter – encounter with God, with ourselves, with others, and with creation. Creatio members are volunteers, professionals, and friends working to address environmental and human issues on a deeper level.  Our goal is to facilitate an active transformation of ourselves and others, as well as the environment.

Location: Remote or Denver, CO              Start date: Summer 2018   Time commitment: based on availability

Responsibilities:

  • Perform grant research to identify most likely grants to be awarded to Creatio.
  • Identify and connect Executive Director with key contacts from qualified grant foundations.
  •  Draft grant applications.
  •  Submit Letters of Inquiry for qualified grants.

Qualified Candidates will possess: 

  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
    Desire to grow in the Catholic faith and encounter the beauty of creation and the Creator.
  • Good leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a team as demonstrated through extracurricular activities, school projects or work experience.
  • Strong computer skills – knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Apps.
  • Problem solving skills, attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.

Bonus: Grant writing experience.
