The full-time Pregnancy and Adoption Program Manager provides direct services by maintaining a small caseload of pregnancy counseling clients and providing back up the Pregnancy Counselor. Position coordinates and assesses all requests for pregnancy-related services and assists clients with implementing a plan for parenting or adoption through assessment, counseling, and connection to community resources. Evening, weekend, and home-based services are offered; flexible scheduling and a monthly phone stipend are provided.

In addition to the direct services component, position provides management and oversight of pregnancy counseling and adoption staff and assists in developing initiatives and program policies. There is tremendous potential to grow this mission-critical program, and we seek a motivated candidate with the vision to help achieve this goal.

To be effective in this role, the preferred candidate must possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to act as an ambassador to promote vital adoption, pregnancy, and parenting services within the community
  • Strong presentation skills to build relationships with area Churches and other faith-based organizations
  • An understanding of and ability to work with an open adoption philosophy
  • Cultural awareness, sensitivity, and maturity in working with infertile adoptive families

Requirements include a working knowledge of Michigan adoption law and the ability to work effectively with Probate Court-Juvenile Division. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work required plus LBSW; Master’s in Social Work with LMSW preferred.

Currently a full-time position but willing to consider part-time flexibility for the right candidate.  CSSW offers strong, competitive pay dependent on experience and qualifications. Total compensation includes:
