Job Description

A fulltime member of the professional staff of the parish, the Director of Institutional Advancement and Development is responsible for leading the efforts to market, create community, and secure financial resources in support of the mission and objectives of Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church and School. The Director will work under the supervision of the Pastor and Principal, endeavoring to seek opportunities to strategically identify, cultivate and solicit prospects that ensure a strong base of ongoing financial philanthropic support. Such opportunities include, but are not limited to, the annul fund, the cultivation of major gifts, planned giving, a capital campaign, special events such as the annual Auction Dinner Dance, special donor events, fundraising events, stewardship development programming, the annual Archbishop's Charities and Development Appeal, the parish Golf Tournament, and Alumni relations. Exemplary communication skills, in both English and Spanish, are to contribute to excellence in customer service, marketing and advertisement strategies for our diverse community. Competencies in branding and logos, the formation of a development database, calendar administration, and periodic reporting of progress are required. Education and Experience: minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Public Affairs, Business, Psychology, or Communications. Advanced degrees in Business or Law would likewise be helpful. Two to five years of experience in in a non-profit or in public relations or an an external affairs professional, managerial position.
