Position: Admissions Counselor

FLSA: Exempt (not eligible for overtime pay)

Schedule: This full-time position will work from the Augustine Institute home office in Greenwood Village, Colorado. This is a full-time onsite position.

Pay Range: $48,000-$52,000* annually

Reporting to: Director of Admissions

Position Summary

The Admissions Counselor is a cross-functional team member of the Graduate School’s administration, whose primary responsibility is to the department of Admissions. As a member of the Graduate School’s administrative team, the Admissions counselor will assist with the seasonal responsibilities of hospitality, events, and student life as needed.

Specific duties are detailed below but may be supplemented by others as assigned.

I. Admissions

  • Efficiently respond and be available to Graduate School inquiries via email, telephone, text, and in-person visits. Respond daily (Monday through Friday) and maintain database records of all contacts.
  • Systematically support student progress from initial contact through completed application, acceptance, and deposit.
  • Support applicants through the onboarding process.
  • Assist with all promotion to nurture students through the funnel, including webinars, calling campaigns, and mailings.
  • Assist with Graduate School marketing, such as providing content for social channels. Other responsibilities will be given as needed.
  • Assist with data clean-up projects as needed.
  • Write thank-you notes to those who submit letters of recommendation for prospective students and maintain a database of those contacts.
  • Attend recruitment visits outside of the Augustine Institute including conferences and travel to campuses.

II. Events and Student Life

    • Participate in the welcoming of visitors to the Institute during Institute events such as: retreats, lectures, conferences, visit days, interview days, and the City of God Seminar.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of student onboarding events including orientation, the annual Mountain Getaway, and Convocation.
    • Assist in onboarding incoming students by providing information on student housing and coordinating placement with a property manager.
    • Participate as needed in student formation events and student activities in which the School takes an official role.

Qualifications  

  • At least 2 years of higher education or related experience.  
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. A Master's degree is a strong plus. 
  • Special consideration will be given to graduates of the Augustine Institute.

Physical Demands  

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, typing and use of office equipment, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.  

Work Environment  

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will typically work in a climate-controlled office setting. Travel may be required.
