Position: Donor Experience Coordinator 

FLSA: Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations) 

Pay Range: $24.00-26.00/hour* 

Schedule: This full-time position will work out of the Augustine Institute home office in Greenwood Village, Colorado. 

Reporting to: Director, Augustine Institute Donor Experience

Position Summary 

The Augustine Institute (AI) is looking for a passionate and talented professional to join our team as a Development Support Specialist. This full-time position (40 hours/week) will support the AI in its mission to reach and transform the world for Christ through our Mission Circle and Development opportunities. This person serves as an expert and spokesperson for the mission, with specific advocacy for donors and the initiatives which they support. This position will receive cross-training in the various aspects of development, including donor support best practices and database management. 

*Specific duties are listed below, and may not be all-inclusive. 

  • Provides direct customer service to Mission Circle donors and timely and professional service to all donors, responds to questions/issues, including but not limited to changing donation amounts and payment methods, issuing year-end tax letters, checking status on gifts, and assisting with Mission Circle benefits. Collaborates with AI-centralized customer service as necessary for appropriate support based on customer inquiry.   
  • Supports benefits and events of giving societies including but not limited to webinars, newsletters, and gifts.  
  • Proactively communicates thanks and impact to one-time and recurring donors.  
  • Identifies trends and creative solutions that will improve donor relations and drive greater philanthropy to the Augustine Institute. Effectively communicates and escalates important observations to management.   


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in a related field. 
  • At least 1 year of relevant customer service work experience, preferably in a non-profit industry or in a related field. 

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment against measurable goals and deadlines. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a productive, flexible, and collaborative member of team. 
  • Expertise in Apple and Windows operating systems, software products, and database management tools. 
  • Excellent writing and editing skills. 
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. 
  • An understanding of the Catholic Church, Church teachings, and deep empathy for Catholic users of Augustine Institute products. 
  • Proficient in Outlook, email etiquette, and phone etiquette. 
  • Patience and ease in explaining processes. 

Work Environment 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will typically work in a climate-controlled office setting.

Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
