Position: Marketing Automation Manager (on-site in Denver office)

FLSA: Exempt (Not eligible for overtime in compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations)

Pay Range: $70,000-90,000 annually*

Schedule: This full-time position will work on-site from the Augustine Institute home office in Greenwood Village, Colorado (Denver area). 

Reporting to: Head of Marketing

Position Summary

The Augustine Institute seeks a Marketing Manager to advance our mission to help Catholics understand, live, and share their faith. You will craft communications to our existing customers and help us to reach new ones who seek to find or deepen their faith. You will plan campaigns to educate and inspire users through both product and content marketing. You will help grow, first and foremost, our new Amen prayer and meditation app, in addition to the Augustine Institute’s other offerings like FORMED, the Graduate School of Theology, and charitable giving. By reaching Catholics with the right message at the right time in their faith journey, you will help them grow in their faith as they continue to engage with the Augustine Institute.

  • Build a deep understanding of our users, products, and customer journeys. Own the user roadmap and set appropriate landmarks along the way.
  • Create campaigns focused on adoption, engagement, and retention, through e-mail marketing, in-app messaging, and owned, earned and paid media.
  • Thoughtfully write compelling copy, craft audience segmentation strategies, and deploy communications.
  • Design experiments and measure, analyze, and report performance and results; test and learn using a data-driven approach.
  • Leverage automated tools to streamline and measure marketing tasks and workflows, creating processes where needed.
  • Work collaboratively with teams in content, technology, sales, and product.

  • 3-5 years of marketing experience with a focus on digital marketing.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with proven success in copywriting and an eye for great design.
  • Strong background in user conversion, re-engagement, and retention strategies, with experience analyzing campaigns, optimizing funnels, running A/B tests, and providing actionable insights and recommendations for next steps.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude with expertise in multiple marketing tools, especially CRM platforms (like Braze,, Salesforce) to build and track campaign performance. HTML & SQL proficiency is a plus. 
  • Highly organized and process-driven, with excellent project management skills.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • An understanding of the Catholic Church, general knowledge of diocesan organization and operations, and possesses deep empathy for Catholic users of Augustine Institute products
  • Experience working with Windows operating systems and MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Certifications with major digital platforms like Google, Salesforce, Adobe, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills including strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to define and achieve outcomes that meet or exceed the organization’s goals

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, typing and use of office equipment, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
