HEAD OF LIBERAL ARTS AND ADULT FORMATION
St. John Paul II Catholic Church in Olathe, KS seeks a wise, experienced and personable individual to serve as Head of Liberal Arts and Adult Formation at the nascent St. John Paul II Parish. Being recently founded, without deeply-engrained pastoral structures, this is an exceptional opportunity to organize contemporary parochial life within the broader horizon of the Catholic Liberal-Arts Tradition.
The Head of Liberal Arts and Adult Formation oversees the evangelical efforts of the parish and will be responsible for developing this activity to form a type of integrated humanities center. Teaching and situating parish formation within this larger context, with specific oversight of adult formation, are constitutive elements of the job. Annual salary $55,000 - $75,000. Eligible for benefits.
The Head of Liberal Arts and Adult Formation reports directly to the Pastor. Responsibilities include:
Working with the pastor and formation team to shape and develop integrated approach to formation.
Participate in Development, Budgeting and Marketing.
Developing parish, religious education in light of the Mission.
Conducting classes for the parish and larger community with an emphasis on the
Providing formation and professional development of employees and catechists.
Coordinating and conducting outreach to the metro and homeschooling communities.
Participating in the design and execution of the parish campus.
About St. John Paul II Catholic Church
The parish of St. John Paull II was founded in 2016. It is located in Olathe, KS—a rapidly growing suburb in the Kansas City metro area. The parish has recently acquired a 15,000 ft2 facility for a dedicated worship space, offices, classrooms and a social hall, which will be used as a temporary home during the campaign and construction phases. Currently composed of 800 families; 2,500 households anticipated. Philosophical working document available upon request.

Master’s or Doctorate Degree in related field, or equivalent background knowledge.
