Position: Social Media Manager (onsite Denver office)

FLSA: Exempt (Not eligible for overtime in compliance with federal and state law) 

Schedule: This full-time position will work from the Augustine Institute home office in Greenwood Village, Colorado. 

Pay Range: $58,000-70,000 annually* 

Reporting to: Director of Digital Marketing 

Position Summary 

The social media manager is a dynamic self-starter focused on supporting the implementation of a ministry-wide social media strategy at the Augustine Institute. Responsibilities include posting content that ensures a consistent and coordinated tone while adhering to all brand & style guides. This may also include the development of brand-specific social media guidelines for new and existing brands. This individual will assist in coordinating brand-level campaigns across the enterprise and all its channels; working in an agile and nimble fashion to generate unique and compelling content appropriate to and consistent with each of our brands. In addition to content management and development, this individual will focus on the analysis and reporting of results for all social media efforts to ensure we achieve maximum reach, engagement, conversion, and ROI. Experience with Meta Business Suite, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, and influencer marketing is a must. Public relations, reputation management, and earned media experience is preferred. In collaboration with our broader marketing team, you will help grow our new Amen prayer and meditation app, in addition to other offerings like FORMED, the Graduate School of Theology, and charitable giving. By reaching Catholics with the right message at the right time in their faith journey, you will help them grow in their faith as they continue to engage with the Augustine Institute.

  • Management of day-to-day social media presence(s), including content planning & development, customer engagement, reputation management, and strategic campaigns 
  • Create and develop social media management processes that ensure seamless and coordinated rollout across all social channels 
  • Strategically identify and engage Catholic influencers, public figures, and media outlets to support all earned media efforts 
  • Assist with live, on-site social media coverage for key events, donor engagements, live streams, retreats, and more 
  • Manage and engage with reviews across all social platforms, including Google, App Store, Google Play Store, etc. 
  • Work collaboratively with members of Marketing, Development, Academics, Content, and Studios to ensure visibility and coverage on high-priority areas of the organization 
  • Manage social media platforms, vendors, freelancers, and agencies when and where appropriate  
  • Oversee all earned media, reputation management, and public relations strategies 
  • Other duties as assigned 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications required 
  • Masters in Business Administration or a related field preferred 
  • At least 3 years of professional experience working in a social medial role 

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Knowledge of social media channels, Sprout Social, and media relationship management tools required 
  • Experience using Canva 
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud 
  • Photography and videography expertise 
  • HTML expertise 
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills 
  • Exceptional attention to detail 
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment 
  • Strong ability to think creatively and strategically to identify and resolve problems effectively 
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities 
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Physical Demands

Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
