Saint Luke Institute seeks a President and CEO to head its world-renowned mental health centers serving Catholic clergy and consecrated religious. Our treatment approach is holistic, including Catholic spirituality as an important component.
SLI recently transitioned from providing residential treatment to an Intensive Outpatient Program at its headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland. It also provides mental health services at locations in Towson, Maryland. and Louisville, Kentucky. This recent transition sets a solid foundation for the organization to continue to deliver high quality mental health care to the Catholic Church.
The President/CEO serves the important role of assuring that the highest quality care continues to be provided at all SLI programs. One of the greatest assets of the SLI organization is the skill and dedication of its clinicians. The President/CEO will supervise this staff and continue to recruit high level individuals to the organization. SLI also provides both online and in person educational seminars on mental health topics. An important part of our work involves psychological assessments of candidates for the priesthood and religious life. The President/CEO actively promotes and supervises these efforts.
This individual will be the public face of the organization and will have the role of communicating the continued importance of mental health care to Catholic Church leaders worldwide, and to clients, donors and the public.
The President/CEO will supervise staff on site at the Silver Spring location where the new IOP is operating. This individual will also supervise SLI outpatient operations in Towson, Maryland and Louisville, Kentucky, as well as an SLI affiliated treatment center in Manchester, England.
With the guidance of the Board of Directors, the President/CEO will manage overall SLI operations, including finances, recruitment, fund raising and business development.
Qualifications
• Experience in Organizational Administration at the Senior Executive level
• Masters level degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or theology required; doctorate preferred
• Ordained Catholic clergy or consecrated religious preferred; Catholic laity welcome to apply
• Able to speak comfortably to large and small groups
• Able to work in a team environment with clinically trained professionals and staff
• Able to actively participate in fundraising efforts
• Good written and spoken communication skills
