Head of School – Sacred Hearts Academy

Sacred Hearts Academy in Honolulu, HI is the only all-girls Catholic school in Hawaii, and it serves as the educational center of the Sisters of the Sacred Hearts.  The Academy welcomed its first class of students on September 12, 1909. Over the last century, Sacred Hearts has built a rich tradition of preparing young women for success in college, professional careers, and leadership in their communities.

Today, Sacred Hearts Academy offers an independent college preparatory education to students from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12.

The school challenges students to achieve their full potential and prepares them for post-secondary education. Its programs value and reinforce the spiritual, moral, physical and intellectual development and learning of each student. A distinctive component of the Academy is its Service Learning Program. As a National School of Character, Sacred Hearts integrates character education into each area of the curriculum as well as extracurricular programs.

School enrollment is approximately 900 students, and the Academy has a staff of 120 members, including administrators, teachers and support staff.

As a result of the planned retirement of our current head of school, the Academy’s Board of Directors is initiating a search for the next head. The starting date for this position is July 1, 2019.
