Job Description

San Joaquin Memorial High School located in Fresno, California seeks candidates for the position of Junior High Principal, with a start date of July 1, 2023.  San Joaquin Memorial is combined with St. Anthony’s and St. Helen’s elementary schools to form the newly organized Fresno Catholic School System. San Joaquin Memorial will expand its program to add a 7-8 Junior High to the campus. The new system will comprise 4 schools, San Joaquin Memorial HS, St. Anthony ES, St. Helen’s ES, and the new San Joaquin Memorial Junior High.  Each school will have its own Principal, all reporting to the President of the Fresno Catholic School System.  The new system will begin in July of 2023.  

The ideal candidate should have experience in academic leadership and classroom teaching, preferably in Catholic schools.  The Principal must have excellent communication skills and a leadership style that is personable and relatable to all in the school community.  The Principal is expected to build community among faculty, staff, students, and families to ensure that the mission and values of Fresno Catholic are infused throughout all aspects of the student experience, including arts, athletics, campus ministry, and service programs.   For a full preview of the system, please go to
