Job Description

Position: Graphic Designer

FLSA: Exempt (not eligible for overtime pay)

Schedule: This full-time position will remotely or from the Augustine Institute home office in Greenwood Village, Colorado.

Pay Range: $62,000 - $90,000 annually

Reporting to: Creative Director

Position Summary

We are looking for a highly creative Graphic Designer, with a passion to serve the Lord, to produce digital and print creative solutions that address our marketing and development needs. To be successful in this role, you must have in-depth knowledge of graphic design principles. You should also have real-life experience executing graphic design projects, from concept to production, in the areas of websites, print collateral, product packaging, layout design, and logo development. Ultimately, you will ensure the design team promotes our brand by delivering high-quality pieces that meet deadlines and exceed expectations.

Specific duties below may not be all-inclusive.

  • Collaborates with staff, managers, and other project members to understand project assignments, the audience, and the intended message
  • Supports team members in day-to-day marketing and design activities to ensure projects meet our internal clients’ objectives and are delivered on time
  • Responsible for the design and production of graphic design across multiple platforms
  • General studio housekeeping, such as filing, archiving, and process management
  • Creates original visual media that communicates the desired feeling or message in an engaging and unified way
  • Prepares drafts of design work and provides samples to staff or departments for review
  • Revises projects as necessary based on a collaborative feedback process
  • Collaborates on varying complexity of design projects from concept to delivery
  • Generates ideas to portray concepts and promote products
  • Maintains brand consistency across all projects
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of related professional graphic design experience
  • Portfolio of completed design projects

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A strong knowledge and awareness of design and production processes to carry out daily tasks
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to execute against tight deadlines with attention to budget goals
  • Familiarity with the Bible and Bible Study market with an awareness of trends in both Catholic and secular content delivery and consumption
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills and the ability to succinctly and effectively present ideas and information
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, typing, and use of office equipment, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
