Position: Director of Digital Marketing

FLSA: Exempt (not eligible for overtime in compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations)

Pay Range: $100,000-140,000 annually*

Schedule: This full-time position will work on-site from the Augustine Institute home office in Greenwood Village, Colorado (Denver area).

Reporting to: Head of Marketing

Position Summary

The ideal candidate for the Augustine Institute’s Director of Digital Marketing has proven experience in implementing omnichannel digital strategies and tactics that ensure the seamless rollout of system-wide campaigns across all digital platforms and channels. This multi-faceted marketing expert will work closely with all areas of the apostolate to develop, execute, and optimize high-performing, data-driven campaign strategies across all meaningful platforms. The ideal candidate has deep experience leading teams and working with cross-functional team members in the marketing, e-commerce, technology, philanthropy, and content realms to execute strategies that achieve high reach, visibility, conversion, and engagement at an enterprise-wide level for both brand-building and ROI-driving campaigns. Deep working knowledge of all the above realms is required. You will help grow, first and foremost, our new Amen prayer and meditation app, in addition to the Augustine Institute’s other offerings like FORMED, the Graduate School of Theology, and charitable giving. By reaching Catholics with the right message at the right time in their faith journey, you will help them grow in their faith as they continue to engage with the Augustine Institute.

  • Work with cross-functional groups to create meaningful omnichannel campaign strategies that tie to and support business goals and objectives.
  • Create and develop campaign processes and ensure seamless and coordinated rollout across all teams.
  • Develop personas and use a variety of channels and media types to cultivate leads into new customers.
  • Look at holistic data on leads and customers to evaluate successful strategies and areas for improvement/growth.
  • Develop and manage digital advertising programs and plans for key business areas to help meet business objectives
  • Oversee the successful management of all marketing technology platforms and measure the ROI of efforts supported through the marketing toolkit
  • Lead the discovery, evaluation, and implementation of future marketing technology 
  • Oversee all earned media, reputation management, and public relations efforts
  • Implement and oversee all ad operations efforts
  • Vendor management and contract negotiations
  • Work collaboratively with teams in content, technology, sales, and product.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of marketing leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

 

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude with expertise in multiple marketing tools, especially CRM platforms (like Braze) to build and track campaign performance. 
  • Highly organized and process-driven, with excellent project management skills.
  • An understanding of the Catholic Church, general knowledge of diocesan organization and operations, and possesses deep empathy for Catholic users of Augustine Institute products
  • Experience working with Windows operating systems and MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communications skills including strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to define and achieve outcomes that meet or exceed the organization’s goals
