Assumption University, a Catholic, liberal arts institution founded by the Augustinians of the Assumption in 1904, is seeking nominations and applications for its next Provost. As a liberal arts institution founded in the Catholic Intellectual Tradition and guided by the Augustinians of the Assumption, the University strives to educate graduates known for their intellectual seriousness, thoughtful citizenship, and devotion to the common good.
The next Provost will be preferably Catholic with a terminal degree and a record of forward-thinking contemporary academic scholarship with an unwavering commitment to the University’s Catholic and Assumptionist mission and identity, and the Catholic Intellectual Tradition. The next Provost will also have the necessary experience to build the University for the future while remaining faithful to Assumption’s core identity. As an enthusiastic leader, the successful candidate will be an innovative strategic thinker who possesses a strong work ethic with a keen attention to detail, social skills, and a relational approach in working with others. The Provost will possess significant leadership in the liberal arts, preferably in Catholic higher education.
