Seton Education Partners seeks a mission-driven, results-oriented individual to be the Seton Teaching Fellows’ Director of Engagement. We are looking for a resourceful, organized and highly efficient team member who will forge new and nourish existing external relationships, help to build new talent pipelines, and help to provide personnel resources as we seek to grow and expand our support for our missionaries serving across Seton’s schools and programs.
The Director of Engagement will design and operationalize the vision for Seton Teaching Fellows’ external relationships and partnerships. Through relationships and project management, the Director of Engagement will provide comprehensive support of the organization’s vision, mission, values, strategic plan, and goals. The Director of Engagement will report to the head of Seton Teaching Fellows, manage the talent function of the team, and work in close collaboration with the formation function of the team, all in order to ensure the talent pipeline of Seton Teaching Fellows is robust enough to meet the needs of the schools we serve and the support that Seton Teaching Fellows are receiving from the program deepen their ability to meet these needs. This teammate will be a leader for the Seton Teaching Fellows Network and be a key player in ensuring our work is well-known throughout the country. Seton Teaching Fellows aims to be a competitive and sought-after post-college mission opportunity throughout the country, and this position will work closely with other members of the team’s leadership to ensure that this goal is achieved.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record of designing projects and systems, building external relationships, and managing multiple competing priorities. The Seton Teaching Fellows Director of Engagement must have the ability to manage others well, hold themselves and others accountable, and communicate extremely effectively. The ideal candidate will have the drive and energy to thrive in a results-focused, mission-driven environment.
Co-founded in 2009 by KIPP pioneer Scott W. Hamilton and Teach for America alumna Stephanie Saroki de García, Seton Education Partners expands opportunities for parents in underserved communities to choose an academically excellent, character-rich, and—for those who seek it—vibrantly Catholic education for their children. As a national non-profit, Seton partners with (arch)dioceses and others across the country to implement innovative and sustainable new schooling models that bridge the best of Catholic education’s rich tradition with new possibilities. The challenges are significant but surmountable with collaboration from a mission-driven, high-performing, entrepreneurial team that embraces innovation and is motivated to reach thousands of children in America’s most underserved neighborhoods.
