The Director Advancement reports to and is under the supervision of the president of the parish incorporation for the Basilica of Ste. Anne and Most Holy Trinity Parishes.
The Director of Advancement will oversee the strategy, structure, and management of the fundraising efforts and is responsible for the planning, organization, and coordination of the efforts that are necessary to raise gift income.
Strategic Planning and Management
Draft and implement an aggressive fundraising plan with objectives, goals, methods, and a reasonable timeline.
Work with the Administration in formulating annual goals to fund the development needs of the churches and school.
Develop and implement a comprehensive annual plan for the raising of funds through individuals, corporations, businesses, grants, and foundations.
Develop and maintain reports on the progress toward goals.
Provides president a monthly report on Advancement performance.

Major Donor Development
Build relationships with a variety of constituencies. Identify and solicit donor prospects, prepare and present proposals to private donors and family foundations
Develop and maintain an organized MHTCA Alumni association to encourage their involvement in multiple school functions and activities, and to encourage giving.
Supervise gift tracking – acknowledgement and communication with donors.
Plan and facilitate activities/occasions to initiate and maintain contact with present and prospective donors.
Encourage and appropriately recognize donor philanthropy.
Create, maintain, and update a prospect database of current and potential donors.
Organize major donor events.
Planned Giving Development
Produce Policies and Guidelines
Create case statements.
Identifies potential planned giving donors.
Grants
Develops grant opportunities.
Supervises any grant writing contract.
Catholic Services Appeal (CSA)
Oversees annual CSA appeal at both parishes.
Identifies major donors for appeal.
Host gatherings of prospective major donors
Monitors parishioners’ pledges.
Annual Fund
Oversees appeals.
Identifies major donors for special needs.

Participates in staff meetings.

Education, Training and/or Experience
Possesses a B.A. in related field
Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE or CFM) preferred
Has a minimum of 5 years experience in Catholic development.
Budget development and oversight experience preferred.
