Job Description

Position: Vice President of Marketing

FLSA: Exempt (not eligible for overtime in compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations)

Pay Range: $140,000-190,000 annually*

Schedule: This full-time position will work remotely or on-site from the Augustine Institute home office in Greenwood Village, Colorado (Denver area).

Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer

Position Summary

The Augustine Institute seeks a Vice President of Marketing to advance our mission to help Catholics understand, live, and share their faith. You will set the strategy by which we communicate with our existing customers and help us to reach new ones seeking to find or deepen their faith. You will be a brand builder capable of telling the story of both our brand and products – from our top-tier graduate school, to Amen prayer and meditation app, to FORMED video content, to parish-based study programs – and reach Catholics with the right offering at the right time in their faith journey. You will manage and develop a team and work cross-functionally to drive results.

*Specific duties are listed below but may not be all-inclusive:

  • Set marketing and communications strategy, in conjunction with the broader Augustine Institute Leadership team.
  • Implement a product management marketing model to drive strategic vision, awareness, engagement and utilization of Augustine Institute products, services and offerings.
  • Build a deep understanding of our users, products, and customer journeys to inform both digital and traditional marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Create a “surround sound” strategy to build and promote the Augustine Institute brand.
  • Tell brand and product stories through owned, earned, and paid media to grow reach and engagement.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute campaign plans aligned with our business and customer experience objectives.
  • Lead the digital transformation of the Augustine Institute by leveraging data and the optimization of CRM (HubSpot) to inform priorities, approach, tactics, resource needs and impacts; set and manage budgets.
  • Measure, analyze, and report performance and results through test and learn strategies.
  • Deploy automation to streamline and measure marketing tasks and workflows.
  • Work collaboratively with teams in content, technology, sales, academics, and product.

Qualifications:

·       7+ years of marketing experience; 3+ years of people management with a passion for developing and coaching direct reports.

·       Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and design sensibilities.

·       E-mail marketing proficiency.

·       Strong familiarity and utilization of CRM to manage and analyze customer interactions and data throughout the customer lifecycle to improve customer retention and drive increased revenue

·       Familiarity with SEO, SEM, ASO, and ASA.

·       Copywriting and editing experience.

·       Extremely organized and process-driven.

·       Excellent project management skills.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·       An understanding of the Catholic Church, general knowledge of diocesan organization and operations, and possesses deep empathy for Catholic users of Augustine Institute products

·       Experience working with Windows operating systems and MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

·       Strong interpersonal communications skills, including strong facilitation and presentation skills

·       Excellent negotiation skills

·       Exceptional time management skills and ability to define and achieve outcomes that meet or exceed the organization’s goals

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, typing and use of office equipment, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
