Saint Catherine of Siena School Communications Coordinator
Saint Catherine of Siena School seeks a Communications Coordinator to develop and implement communications and marketing strategies that strengthen awareness and understanding of the SCS mission and engage the school’s constituents.
Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Coordinator must be a skilled relationship-builder, able to think creatively, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively. S/he will lead efforts to capture and bring the stories of SCS to life and share them consistently across all media platforms to build brand awareness, attract students and families, and build loyalty and support. S/he will be an integral member of the advancement team, working closely with the Principal and the Directors of Advancement and Admissions.
The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for:
Advancing the school’s mission to all SCS stakeholders and key external and internal audiences of the school.
Developing and managing an annual marketing and communications plan that engages key internal and external audiences.
Developing and managing the annual communications budget.
Engaging the culture of SCS through close working relationships with teachers, administrators, parents, students, and others. Understanding attitudes of key internal and external audiences of SCS.
Directing the school’s development and production of all marketing materials, including print, paid and social media, e-mail marketing, website, e-newsletters, media releases, and other materials that advance the SCS to support enrollment, development, and internal and external relations.
Overseeing and/or developing content to support communications, including text, photography, and video.
Developing content and communications materials to support annual development and fundraising activities.
Exploring new strategies to strengthen and evangelize the SCS brand.
Position Requirements

Be a strong advocate for the purpose and ideals of Catholic education.
Demonstrated communications experience, preferably in a school environment.
Excellent writing and communications skills
Strong leadership and collaboration abilities
Creativity and a readiness to explore new ways to communicate and market SCS.
A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant field.
Knowledge of the principles and best practices of marketing and communications
Creativity, teamwork, superb organizational skills, and the ability to analyze situations and solve problems.
