Job Description

The Pastor
Father Michael White is pastor of a large and growing Roman Catholic parish in north Baltimore, co-founder of the Rebuilt parish association, and author of the best-selling Rebuilt books.

The Pastor’s Team
The Pastor’s leadership team works together to “lead and feed” an Orthodox and dynamic congregation which, at the same time, seeks to reach out to the larger community with the life saving message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They also coordinate the work of the Rebuilt Parish program of parish renewal working with churches across the country seeking to renew and rebuild.

The Executive Assistant to the Pastor
The Executive Assistant to the Pastor plays a crucial role in managing the pastor’s schedule, coordinating his activities, and providing administrative assistance. The Executive Assistant is responsible for supporting the Pastor in his pastoral and leadership roles, in the various ways in which support is needed.

General Responsibilities

  • Assist with the pastor’s day-to-day operations and help him navigate his day.
  • Maintain the pastor’s calendar and develop an understanding of his responsibilities and obligations.
  • Conserve the pastor’s time by handling all communications, (written or otherwise, incoming and outgoing) as directed by the pastor.
  • Commission work on the pastor’s behalf, as directed.
  • Represent the pastor when needed with staff, parishioners, the Archdiocese and others.
  • Handle any administrative or personal tasks assigned by the pastor.
  • Understand and maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in Archdiocesan meetings as needed.
  • Research materials as needed for publications, messages, and programming.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and accompany the pastor to the various conferences and speaking engagements as they arise.
  • Other duties as assigned by the pastor.

The Schedule & Compensation
When not traveling the Executive Assistant would maintain a relatively regular schedule:
Monday – Thursday 9:30am-5:30pm & Sundays 8am – 12:30pm

Compensation negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package.
