YOUR ROLE: CatholicVote is looking for a full time video editor to assist our Programming team in creating educational and news related content to inform and inspire Americans to live out their faith. The video editor will join a dynamic team of creative’s looking to change the culture through video content. This position involves video and podcast editing.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Edit audio and video for our regular podcast episodes

• Re-edit and re-format podcast and other medium and long form content into 15-60 second clips for social media

• Add b-roll, simple graphics, and text to clips to increase engagement and performance on YouTube and social media platforms

• Aid in compiling analytics reports to help understand video performance across various platforms

• Assist the Director of Video Production on projects related to production and post-production

WHAT YOU NEED:

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premiere Pro and Audition

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines 

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite, Slack, Asana, or other web based applications

• Ability to provide proactive and clear communications

• Collaborative spirit and the desire to support a larger team

• Passion for the mission of CatholicVote

NOTES:

• This position is based out of Chicago, but remote applicants will be considered.

• Work may be performed seated for long periods of time with close PC and keyboard work.

• Normal office environment and noise levels. Average lift less than 10 lbs.
