DIRECTOR -HOLY MOUNTAIN FRANCISCAN RETREAT CENTER
The Franciscan Friars of the Atonement is a Catholic religious community with social, ecumenical, and pastoral ministries, headquartered in Garrison, NY. The Holy Mountain Franciscan Retreat Center is seeking a
Director for the Holy Mountain Franciscan Retreat Center
to work in its beautiful Garrison, NY location.
The Center sponsors and hosts many retreats, conferences, days of renewal and recollection, pilgrimages, meetings and other events. Support Staff will be a welcoming and helpful presence at the center to interact with people of various ages, religious traditions, and cultural backgrounds.
The Director will provide overall creative vision and empowering leadership for the operations, promotion, and fundraising of the retreat center. He/she will direct and manage a small full-time and per diem staff. The Director will provide oversight and team leadership for the creation, development, and ongoing effectiveness of all programs and activities of the retreat center.
The preferred candidate will:
· Be experienced in retreat management.
· Have knowledge of Franciscan spirituality and hospitality.
· Possess some education in Theology; degree preferred but experience may substitute.
· Understand the needs of spiritual retreats including those individuals on religious retreats.
