Job Description

YOUR ROLE: As the Project Manager for our programming team, you will be responsible for coordinating projects that involve both content development and communication, with an eye for marketing. You will ensure that all project components are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and fulfill company standards of excellence.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Project Planning and Management: Develop comprehensive project plans that integrate writing and programming tasks. Create timelines, set milestones, and allocate resources effectively, managing the end-to-end content creation process from inception to final delivery.

  • Team Coordination: Support a cross-functional team of writers and content creators. Assign tasks, manage priorities, and ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and alignment with project goals and deadlines.

  • Quality Assurance: Oversee the review and approval process for both content and technical deliverables. Ensure that all outputs meet quality standards and project specifications. Implement and enforce best practices for content creation, including adherence to brand guidelines and style standards.

  • Strategic Development: Collaborate with marketing strategists and other team members to develop content strategies that integrate content and technical elements seamlessly.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to boost efficiency and productivity across writing and programming activities. Assist managers across the organization in resource allocation, process improvements, and project tracking.

  • Tool Optimization and Management: Oversee the effective utilization and continuous improvement of project management tools and software. Ensure tools are configured to meet project needs, streamline workflows, and enhance team productivity.

  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members on the use of project management tools. Develop and deliver training materials, troubleshoot issues, and serve as the primary point of contact for tool-related inquiries.

WHAT YOU MUST BRING:

  • Proven experience as a project manager, preferably with a focus on marketing content or writing teams.

  • Strong understanding of content creation processes. Awareness of marketing principles, content strategy, and SEO best practices.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a track record of managing complex and fast-paced projects.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and clients.

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana) and familiarity with content management systems.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging and ensuring processes are being followed

  • Confidence to challenge executive opinions and maintain a positive working relationship

  • Passion for the mission of CatholicVote with an understanding of and interest in both the Catholic faith and US politics.

PHYSICAL JOB CONDITIONS:

  • Work may be performed seated for long periods of time with close PC and keyboard work.

  • Normal office environment and noise levels. Average lift less than 10 lbs.

LOCATION: This position is based out of Carmel, IN but remote applicants will be considered.
