Welcome to St. Louis School

Founded in 1923, St. Louis School is a coeducational Catholic school providing high-school preparatory education to approximately 560 students in preschool through 8th grade. We are a community firmly rooted in Catholic teachings, family values, and academic excellence.  St. Louis School and Parish are a thriving Catholic community centered on the Eucharist and committed to faith formation and service. You can see this every day in our school through daily prayer, weekly mass, weekly reconciliation and adoration, and faculty and staff retreats and faith formation.

Blue Ribbon Academics

As a two-time National Blue Ribbon school, our academic philosophy is teaching the whole child in body, mind, and spirit. We take that approach through our entire curriculum from preschool through 8th grade. Additionally, St. Louis School is ​a 2019 Cognia STEM-certified school, which means that we integrate lessons on problem solving, collaboration, and creativity with a focus on science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

St. Louis School offers an accelerated curriculum and advanced reading and math for our middle school students. We also integrate enrichment and academic support into our curriculum for our primary grades.

Maryland has so much to offer! From festivals to museums, the aquarium to the theater, and shopping to sports, there are always things to do. The location between Baltimore and Washington DC provides a variety of housing options, geographical diversity, and lots of opportunity for fun and adventure. If the great outdoors is for you, Maryland is an ideal location. Both beautiful beaches and breathtaking mountains are within driving distance. Maryland is neither North or South, making the climate relatively moderate compared to many regions of the country. For sports lovers, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. have several teams in NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and professional soccer. Plus, there are several college teams to root for, as well!  For continuing education opportunities, there are nearly 20 colleges and universities that offer a wealth of teaching and educational programs.
