Professor of Theology

Applications are invited for a full-time faculty position in Theology to begin in the fall of 2019. The position is for one year with the possibility of a continuing multi-year renewal. The successful candidate will demonstrate effectiveness in teaching Theology and will be dedicated to the intellectual formation of seminarians for the Catholic priesthood. Because the position includes teaching in a pontifical STB degree program, an ecclesiastical degree of at least the licentiate level is preferred, although applicants without such a degree will be considered. An earned doctorate in Theology is required. Particular area of specialization is open, but one must be able to teach in the areas of Dogmatic/Systematic Theology, with a capacity to teach in the area of Moral Theology, as well. Teaching load is 15 credits per year. Applicants must be willing and able to make the Profession of Faith and take the Oath of Fidelity and receive the mandatum of the Archbishop of Denver. Rank, salary, and benefits will be commensurate with other similar institutions. SJV does not have tenure.
