The MGO will help Sudan Relief Fund more effectively fulfill its mission of providing humanitarian aid and hope to the people of South Sudan by growing the organization’s base of support among major donors.

About the Position

As a key member of Sudan Relief Fund’s (SRF) team, the MGO is primarily responsible for cultivating and growing its major-donor base. The MGO will personally cultivate, solicit, and exercise stewardship of SRF’s relationships with major donors across the country. The MGO will be a vocal advocate for SRF’s vision and capable of inviting others into its mission. The MGO will work closely with, support, and reports directly to Mary Haas, Director of Advancement Operations. The MGO will be a member of a collaborative and hardworking team and must be willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally.

This full-time position will be based out of American Philanthropic’s offices in either Denver, CO, Phoenix, AZ, Oak Park, IL or West Chester, PA, and will be supported by American Philanthropic staff. Salary is competitive, commensurate with experience, and includes a full benefits package.

About the Organization:

Founded in 1998, Sudan Relief Fund (SRF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing both immediate necessities and long-term hope to the people of South Sudan. Over the past two decades as many as two million people have died, four million people have been displaced from their homes, and an additional five million continue to lack basic survival necessities: food, water, and shelter. SRF’s mission is to provide peace and hope for the future by alleviating immediate humanitarian concerns and aiding in the development of infrastructure necessary for growth and stability in the world’s youngest nation.

SRF believes in the future of South Sudan and the capability of achieving lasting change toward the promise of a more prosperous and peaceful future. All of its programs—digging wells, providing meals, starting and growing schools and universities, building and sustaining full-fledged hospitals—are ultimately driven by that vision.

SRF has made significant progress developing and strengthening the South Sudanese community. To learn more, visit SRF’s website at www.sdnrlf.com.
