Job Description

Under the responsibility of the Web Marketing Manager (and working transversally with the technical director North America), the Digital Commerce Specialist participates in the implementation of e-commerce strategies in the United States. He/she coordinates and uploads content, manages promotions and ensures the quality control Management of Bayard’s Shopify B2B-B2C platforms.

 

MAIN TASKS

 

Content & Website management

 

  • Be the gatekeeper for all product details, system maintenance and data integrity of all product details for the B2B-B2C E-commerce platforms.
  • Work with marketing, designers and editorial teams to upload product assets according to marketing plans. Ensure all products are listed with accurate images/product descriptions/offers/promotions.
  • Establish requirements and specifications for existing and new products.
  • Develop method to bulk upload and manage assets across multiple platforms and understand how the shipping process works.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service team on feedback and update listings to optimize customer experience and CMS support.
  • Ensure that the right content is published at the right time, and optimized for each platform (web, social and mobile).
  • Improve customer experience linked to the site experience: understand and report on key drivers of customer conversion (UI, bugs, site features, etc.)

 

Online Marketing campaigns management

 

  • Manage all paid-for activity for the Shopify e-Commerce platforms (web, mobile, social, email marketing) working closely with the Web Marketing manager to ensure this is within the main campaign frameworks.
  • Prepare and Deploy email marketing campaigns (MailChimp) according to the approved Marketing plan prepared beforehand with the Marketing Director and Web Marketing manager
  • Track campaigns and Analyze the results
  • Recommends changes to achieve goals”
  • Oversee the creation and execution of all promotional activities
  • Measures online marketing/promotion success
  • Gather data from various sources to supply site analytics and sales/program successes based on metrics set at the onset of campaigns

 

Online Retailers

  • Support relationship development with online retailers and other e-commerce channels (i.e. Amazon, etc.)
  • Work with marketing, designers and editorial teams to plan retailer specific asset requests for product launches, copy, images, promotions, category features, etc. Provides all assets to on-line retailers.

 

Reporting

 

Web statistics reports and KIs for the eCommerce platforms

 

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.

 

EXPERIENCE

  • A first professional experience with online marketing, direct marketing or content marketing is plus.
  • Strong interest in ecommerce and knowledge of Shopify, Magento
  • General understanding of affiliate marketing programs
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and ability to use all data to drive insights
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Canva, Photoshop or any design tool is a plus
  • Knowledge of general editorial, community-building, and social media best practices
  • Light knowledge of HTML and for formatting posts and fixing tracking codes
  • Must be detail-oriented with ability to balance multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
