ECYD is Regnum Christi’s Youth organization. It is an international association of adolescents age 11-16 who make a pledge of friendship with Christ and with each other to build up a new world according to the Gospel. Its mission is to collaborate with Christ so that he might reign in the hearts of adolescents and in the world. ECYD Programs are its apostolic and formative initiatives organized to meet adolescents’ needs and that contribute to the growth of the adolescents, of ECYD and of evangelization. Challenge and Conquest are two of the most institutionalized ECYD programs that are comprehensive youth ministry resources providing method, curriculum and materials with access to a national network of ECYD events, mentors and training. NATURE OF THE POSITION: The Resource Developer and Product Specialist is responsible for the content, design, resources and products of ECYD Programs. The position manages the curriculum of the Challenge/Conquest programs, updates the products, and creates the content needed to maintain the Challenge/Conquest programs. Position is part of the ECYD Programs team underneath the area of ECYD within the Evangelization Department of Regnum Christi. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Preferred Bachelor’s degree, with some training in theology, pedagogy preferably for youth and young adults. - We are searching for dynamic practicing Catholic candidates who are in full communion with the Church. Experience: Preferred 3 to 5 years of experience in an ECYD Section and/or with a Challenge/Conquest Program – can include but not limited to involvement with ECYD Retreats and Summer Camps, team leader formation, CH/CQ Club leadership teams etc. Preferred experience with Catholic youth ministry in the United States and/or Canada Certifications, Licenses, or Registrations: Safe-environment certification and satisfactory criminal background check Special Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities: Basic knowledge of Regnum Christi and ECYD, familiarity with the Statutes and principles of apostolic action. Have or be willing to acquire ECYD Week Certificate and ECYD Mentor Training Program enrollment. Have or be willing to acquire knowledge of the ECYD formative approach and skills in applying it. Basic knowledge of adolescent psychology. Basic knowledge of the Catholic faith and pastoral work with young people. Skills to work with graphic design programs and components. Preferred experience with Adobe Suite, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator. Skills in managing websites to be able to update information, upload components, and online store. Preferred experience with WordPress and Infusion Soft. Communication and organization skills. This is a remote job position so the ability to communicate effectively via email, phone and video conferencing technology is paramount. It will require organization skills in the use of time, in large amounts of data and documents, and details of products. Ability to work with people; both team work and relationship building. This position is part of a work group that will require ability to negotiate, change opinions, and dialogue. There is some interaction with customers so will need to be poised and helpful in interpersonal interchange. Knowledge of curriculum building and ability to create, develop and design content. Ability to work independently, creatively, innovatively and according to priorities. As this position is remote, there is a need for self-motivation and initiative. Ability to occasionally travel – overnight travel primarily with in the United States and possibly Canada. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Plan and maintain resources and products, budget and design: survey, analysis of sales, inventory to determine needs, build product budget, design and update resources and products, kit builds. Work with graphic designer as necessary. Manage vendor relationships: working with vendors on quotes, prepare and submission of art files to production, follow through shipping to fulfillment. Develop content and curriculum and marketing content and design: Management of the overall curriculum maps and plans, update curriculum guide books or other components as needed. Design additional formation and training resource add-ons as needed. Develop sales and promotional materials, online catalogs, content and design of e-blasts for marketing campaigns, newsletters. Update websites: Update the online store and keep website content and contacts up to date annually. Annual contact with those implementing and using products on all levels (ECYD Directors, program directors, parents, team leaders and adolescents) so as to assure products, contents and designs are meeting current and actual needs of the young people we are aiming to evangelize. Team work with the other members of the ECYD Programs team for the on-going growth and development of Challenge/Conquest – planning, work groups to achieve goals, collaborate and coordinate with projects. Participation in any of the national or regional events deemed necessary. Weekly virtual meetings with the ECYD Programs team. Minimum of once a month virtual dialogue with manager. Minimum of quarterly in-person meetings.
