Maryvale seeks a goal oriented hands-on leader to serve as its next Chief Financial Officer. Rooted in the Catholic faith and charism of the Daughter of Charity, Maryvale heals, empowers and educates children and families to instill hope for a more fulfilling future. This is achieved by providing residential, educational, mental health, and community-based services in an environment of dignity, love and respect. Maryvale’s programs and services are offered at their 16-acre Rosemead campus, with one additional program site in Duarte. The organization’s budget is $22 million. Reporting to and partnering with the President & CEO, the CFO will set financial policy and direction while also being an active participant in, and driver of, the organization’s overall financial strategies. Leading all financial administration, business planning, and budgeting initiatives, the CFO is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, compliance, and billing for government and private contracts and grants. The CFO will be a seasoned leader with at least ten years of broad finance experience. Experience managing finance (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting) for a complex nonprofit entity with multiple funding sources and diverse program areas is desired. Although the person in this position does not need to be a practicing Catholic, the successful candidate must be respectful of and willing to support the values of the Catholic Church. An undergraduate degree is required; a CPA and/or MBA is preferred. Maryvale has retained Morris & Berger to conduct the Chief Financial Officer search.
