Continuous Improvement Manager (MBB) for the Global IT department at Air Products and Chemicals responsible for generating $5 MM in annual productivity representing 2% of the department’s total budget. (FY14 = $8 MM) (FY13 = $12 MM)
My role was to work closely with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the VP of Continuous Improvement to execute the annual Improvements Planning Process including Voice of Customer activities, define key initiatives, manage the KPI hierarchy and perform opportunity analysis across the entire end-to-end value chain. As the lead subject matter expert in Lean \ Six Sigma I also manage the Tollgate process within the function and direct a team of eight (8) Black Belts to initiate, coordinate, and execute DMAIC and Design for Six Sigma projects using the DCDOC methodology frequently spanning multiple businesses and functions.
Certified Lean\Six Sigma (LSS) Black Belt within the Global IT department. Responsible for initiating, co-ordinating and leading Continuous Improvement projects across all of Global IT.
Managed a staff of 11 (9 US, 2 China) to provide supporting services and oversight of 130 projects representing $46 MM USD annually. Services included, but where not limited to, coaching of approximately 40 Project Manager Affiliates, project setup and maintenance in SAP Project Systems, Aggregate Demand, SharePoint, maintenance of IT Governance KPI’s, reports, and escalations. Additional individual responsibilities included maintenance and training for the Manage Individual Projects process, facilitation of project financials, and maintenance of the Project Mangers toolkit.
Provided leadership for IT programs by actively managing critical projects and supervising Project Managers while maintaining responsibility for the full life cycle of the project management process from Project Charter to S&OP through task execution and make-good. As a member of the PMO leadership team responsibilities included, but were not limited to: supervising and developing assigned project managers, building and maintaining strong relationships with IT Account Managers, Service Managers and client management, providing tactical leadership and project management expertise to
ensure achievement of desired business benefits and communicating regular updates to project board members and other senior management stakeholders.
As a Manager in the Business Consulting practice, specialized in Project and Portfolio Management and IT Governance with related contributions in the areas of Project Management, SOX Compliance, Quality Assurance, Production Performance Monitoring, Systems Implementation, Application Design and Development. Additional responsibilities included the coordination and development of initiatives in Technology Services across all of the SMART Solutions teams.
