Personal Summary
I am currently looking for remote, flexible-hour positions that enable me to make best use of my work-life experiences. These are fairly broad but I believe that such a generalist background is very beneficial in these times. My experiences include blogging and some content freelance writing; customer service and being a virtual assistant. The latter has broadened my skillsets for work in customer service, data entry or writing and blogging assignments.
I am a writer and blogger whose currently avocation focuseson addiction. I am the author of two Catholic devotional booklets for people in recovery. My primary creative desire, apart from continuing the devotionals, is to write Catholic-themed spiritual fiction. I hope to explore those areas at the intersections of Faith and Reason; contemporary drama with side trips though the preternatural with rest stops in the boundaries of the afterlife. I am one of those who think there is another reality just out of the corner of your eye; you turn to look, it disappears. I try and focus on my characters as I have found that by creating interesting people I can actually sustain the writing effort. My characters need a life, and the novels they will be in help them to discover such a one as they work out their situations and each other.
So, I suppose that Catholicism, addiction recovery, reading, writing, death and the fuzzy gray areas along the borders of life are interests. Oh, I also like cats and Mac computers.

Remote Virtual Assistant: Collaborating and coordinating with other assistants and volunteers in promoting the permaculture ideas of Wheaton by building relationships with similar organizations; obtaining and managing speaking opportunities; using social media leveraging; SEO optimizing; contributing and editing wiki articles; the creation and promotion of goods, services and events; creating and editing content for websites; assisting with event signups and site rentals, forum management, email correspondence, general clerical work which includes extensive use of Google Office products.
Accepts donated goods from general public at at year-round outdoor facility and organizes them by type and category. Must maintain positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
Sales and support for educational and inspirational CDs, books and brochures that aid people's understanding of the Catholic Faith. I advise parishes on managing their program.
Provided personal care and assistance with daily living skills for high- and low- functioning, medically frail adults with mental retardation and developmental disabilities in a group home setting. Duties included the administration of medications and maintaining required documentation.
