My full name is El Lee Mann and I came from Paletwa, Chin State, Myanmar. I belong to the Anglican Church in Myanmar. The Anglican denomination is the third largest Christian denomination in Myanmar after Baptist and Roman Catholic. I was born in 1989. I went to Primary School when I was 4 year old and in 2009, I passed the matriculation. I have enjoyed myself in studying and I joined a seminary called Holy Cross Theological College in Yangon City, Myanmar. During my seminary days, I did really enjoy working with and for Youth. I also like subjects such as Church and society, pluralism, ecumenism, and ecology. I was graduated from the seminary with Bachelor of Theology in 2017. After graduation, I realized that my calling is in social works rather than in ministry. Therefore, instead of joining the ministry, I have decided to find opportunity to work related to social works.
As a youth, I had attended many inter-denominational youth fellowship programs and activities at local level. When I was in the seminary, we have a formal once a year fellowship with Roman Catholic seminarians and Baptist seminarians. Through these fellowships, I have learned to respect other Christians. I come to realize that even though there are many differences among Christians, we Christians have the same Lord who is Love. In fact, it is not wrong to say that sometimes doctrine divides whereas love unites. I have attended many other ecumenical programs conducted and organized by the Myanmar Council of Churches. My uncle Father Tun Khine have been doing in his ministry in Myanmar, he support me to attend school so that I may be graduated last year in 2017. I want to work abroad in USA so I am looking to find a job and I pray to God, he will guide and make me successful in my life.
