Completed basic training for the US Navy at RTC Great Lakes, Illinois, including:

the initial Baseline Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) baseline; 

swim qualification, the U.S. Navy Third Class Swim Test; 

first PFA or Physical Fitness Assessment; 

classroom training on the topic of anti-terrorism, firefighting/survival; 

practicing firefighting in full gear; 

a comprehensive test about firefighting, a drill inspection and the last PFA; 

and “Battle Stations,” a 12-hour simulation comprising everything that recruits have learned at boot camp, including firefighting, swimming, water survival, shipboard damage control and teamwork in a high-stress environment.
