Full time Communications Internet/Social Media Media-Journalism Radio

Personal Summary

I believe that through my professional work experience in the media industry for the past Twenty-Four years, my educational background, and other job-related qualifications I would be an excellent choice for a variety of positions.

In 1998, I graduated from Edinboro University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a focus in Media Arts and Communications. Prior to graduating, I began working as a News Photographer/Editor at WICU-TV 12 in Erie, Pennsylvania. Working as a News Photographer/Editor, I have operated a variety of different style cameras and have edited various types of news stories in many different situations and under an array of circumstances. Due to the nature of being a News Photographer/Editor, I have gained a great deal of experience in working under deadline restrictions and have developed excellent time management skills.

In December of 2004 I was hired at Cathedral Prep as a Communications teacher and was placed in charge of developing their media program. I gained a great deal of knowledge from developing the program, designing, and setting up a complete studio.

Looking to expand my knowledge in the media arts, I was hired by Sonney's Photography in January 2007 as a Photographer, gaining a wealth of knowledge and information on digital photography, lighting, and adjustments of photographs. In 2012 Sonney's Photography was sold to Lifetouch National School Studios where I have continued to expand my knowledge of photography.

In August of 2019 I was presented with the opportunity to return to my passion of video production and joined Community Access Media as a Multimedia Production Specialist. Working at CAM allowed me to improve my skills in the Adobe Creative Cloud platform, work with and serve the Erie community, and provide support and training for a diverse community. I was also given the opportunity to expand my skills by taking on the responsibilities of Programming Coordinator. This position allowed me to learn how to schedule weekly programming and maintain the playback schedule of member produced programs and content for broadcasting on Channel 1021/1024 and camerie.org.

In addition to working at WICU-TV 12, Cathedral Prep, Sonney's Photography, Lifetouch, and CAM, I have taken it upon myself to engage in a few freelance projects with companies/organizations such as: Cathedral of St. Paul, Erie Day School, All American Hose Company, Mercyhurst University, Westminster Figure Skating, and The Gliding Stars of Erie, to broaden my experience and interest in the media arts.
