Personal Summary

I have been a youth ministry leader at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Enterprise, AL for the past 7 years. In that time, our program has tripled in size and is continuing to grow. I also volunteered as a core team member for 5 years prior to taking over as youth ministry leader. I have a passion for working with junior high and high school teens and meeting them where they are in their faith journey. I enjoy working with parent volunteers to provide a team approach to faith formation. I have experience writing grants, putting together fundraisers, and taking teens on retreats, to summer camp, as well as to the national March for Life in Washington, D.C. I am excited to bring my knowledge and experience to a parish in need.

Work Experience

Youth Ministry Leader
- Present St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church

I developed our annual curriculums for both junior high and high school programs using Google Sheets platform and LifeTeen and Edge lesson plans. Our curriculum not only meets but exceeds the requirements by our Archdiocese.

When needed, I co-teach our junior high and high school faith formation classes. This helps us have enough core team members to effectively execute not only the lesson but our small group discussions.

I plan weekly meals for Youth Group and assist with service and clean up. The menu is created at the beginning of the school year and we adjust it as needed.

I coordinate and execute several community service projects and 3 major fundraising events each year. This gives our teens several opportunities to raise money for our program while serving our parishioners and members of our Enterprise community.

I coordinate and accompany teens on trips for the national March for Life, our Archdiocesan Catholic Youth Conference, and summer camps with the average group size consisting of 20-25 students.

I maintain reports for student registration, payments, and attendance in Excel and Google Sheets platforms.

I create and post social media content and blog posts on accounts and manage interaction.

I put together the Youth Group annual calendar ensuring events do not conflict with city  and school calendars

I write and submit grant proposals biannually with a maximum award amount of $2,500 per grant. This has allowed us to purchase couches for our youth rooms, classroom sets of Catechisms and Bibles, as well as recreation equipment for our teens.
