Good Shepherd Catholic Parish is a vibrant and diverse faith community serving the City of Visalia and the surrounding area. Our parish has more than 160 years of Catholic history, beginning with St. Mary’s Church which was established in 1861. Today, our parish family brings together four worship sites: St. Mary’s, Holy Family, St. Thomas the Apostle, and our newest and largest church, St. Charles Borromeo.
We are guided by our mission to welcome, evangelize, and accompany all who seek Christ. The parish offers bilingual liturgies, sacramental preparation, faith formation programs for every stage of life, and a wide variety of ministries focused on prayer, outreach, service, and community life. Thousands of families come together throughout the week to worship, grow spiritually, and support one another.
Through the leadership of our clergy, staff, and dedicated volunteers, Good Shepherd strives to be a spiritual home where every person can encounter God’s love, deepen their faith, and share their gifts in service to the Church and the community.
We welcome you to join us, whether you are new to the area, returning to your faith, or simply seeking a place to belong.
