My name is Ashley P. Hasenbein, I am from Cullman, Alabama, and I have just completed my ninth-year teaching English Language Arts at the high school level. I am a devote Catholic, wife, and mom. I would love to be considered for any English position that is available.

Work Experience

10th Standard English
Jul 2024 - May 2025 Cullman High School

For the past year, I have worked at Cullman High School as one of the 10th A+ English teachers, as well as, Introduction to Public Speaking I. I have attended numerous trainings from A+ Curriculum/ E3 Summer Training to interactive technology in person PD where I retained certifications in EdPuzzle, Clever, Bloom, etc.

11th and 12th AP Language and Literature
Jun 2023 - May 2024 St. Bernard Preparatory School

I taught at St. Bernard Preparatory School in Cullman for one year as the sole 11th and 12th grade English teacher. I taught 11th honors and AP Language and Composition, 12th honors and AP Literature and Composition English, as well as, Creative Writing I and II. I assisted as a junior sponsor, and led National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society. While working for this school, I completed my remaining 18 hours toward my master’s in order to be Dual Enrollment Certified.

After moving back to Cullman County, I taught at Falkville High School for three years as the sole 10th and 11th grade English teacher. I have taught 10th grade honors and standard English and 11th grade AP Language and Composition and standard English. I was hand selected to serve on the 2022 English textbook committee for Morgan County. Furthermore, I also served as the assistant sponsor for the National Honor Society at Falkville.

9th and 10th Standard and Honors English
May 2016 - May 2020 Jemison High School

I taught at Jemison High School in Chilton County, for four years before moving north to be closer to home. At Jemison, I taught 9th grade standard English, 9th grade and11th grade creative writing, and 12th grade journalism. I also taught 10th grade honors and standard English. I am very experienced with incorporating new technology into my lessons including Kahoot, Nearpod for exploratory learning, and Google Classroom for teacher-student communication and the submission of research papers and various other projects. I served as a National Beta Club sponsor for the Sophomore and Junior classes. I assisted with extracurricular activities such as coaching tennis and working alongside the band as the dance line sponsor. Additionally, I worked with the Shelby County Afterschool Care program at Helena Intermediate School over my summer break as a special needs counselor for three separate students.
