Passionate educator with a strong focus on pastoral care, student wellbeing, and the holistic development of children. With Christ at the center and with 18 years of experience across a range of educational roles, I lead key initiatives in pastoral care, behavioral support, safeguarding and student life. I work closely with students, staff, and families to foster a positive school culture built on empathy, compassion and consistency. Skilled in supporting students with behavioral challenges and guiding families through complex situations with compassion and clarity. Known for creating engaging, purposeful experiences that unite and strengthen the wider school community. Also, in support of a range of parish events and initiatives.
Part of the school’s leadership team, helping shape whole-school planning and staff development. I oversee pastoral systems that promote student wellbeing, positive relationships, and early support for emerging concerns. I manage behavior expectations through the PBIS approach, including staff coaching and use of behavior data.
As Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (Level 3), I handle referrals, documentation, and work closely with outside agencies to ensure strong safeguarding practice. I also lead our House system, strengthening student belonging and school culture through events and recognition programs.
I coordinate student leadership opportunities across Early Years to Grade 5 and organize key aspects of student life, including assemblies, celebrations, and community activities. My role includes embedding social–emotional learning routines and working alongside counsellors to align pastoral interventions and support for families.
I regularly meet with parents regarding behavior, wellbeing, and safeguarding matters. I contributed to the evidence and systems improvements that supported the school in achieving the Optimus Wellbeing Award.
I hold a Level 2 qualification in First Aid for Mental Health and provide early support for student and staff wellbeing. I also design and deliver professional development sessions focused on wellbeing, behaviour, safeguarding, and positive classroom culture.
