Job Title: Donor Relations Officer, Remote

Department: Advancement

Reports to: Vice President of External Affairs

Position Summary: We are seeking a remote, experienced, and energetic fundraising professional who will work in close collaboration with the entire Advancement team to expand its current fundraising efforts, with particular focus on further developing our West Coast presence. This work will include timely contact and correspondence, strategizing and implementing donor moves, documenting contacts and moves in the database, and actively participating in discovering additional prospects. Relevant areas of fundraising will include annual giving, deferred giving, and capital giving. The Officer must be willing to travel within their region to meet benefactors, or potential benefactors, as necessary, as well as occasional attendance at evening and/or weekend activities, meetings, and events.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the Offices of the President and of Advancement, discover, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects.
  • In collaboration with the President and Vice President of Advancement, develop a personal portfolio of prospects (individuals and foundations), creating a compressive cultivation strategy for each prospect and ensuring that strategy is implemented.
  • Record all donor contacts in the database, and query on impending actions when necessary.   

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will be well-versed in and able to communicate the College’s mission and the benefits of its educational model and auxiliary programs to a wide range of benefactors.
  • Excellent storyteller with a polished manner (in written and in-person communications).
  • Strongly self-motivated, mapping out and executing cultivations with minimal oversight.
  • Understanding of and passion for liberal education and the Catholic Faith is essential.
  • Personable, self-motivated, and professional.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
