We are seeking a faith-driven and creative Catholic Media & Content Development Specialist to help expand our digital outreach, strengthen narrative storytelling, and support mission-centered communications.
This contracted role will produce compelling content that engages donors, parish partners, supporters, and the broader Catholic community, highlighting the impact of VPP initiatives and deepening understanding of vulnerable populations we serve.
Develop and execute content strategy across platforms including website, email, social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X), and newsletters.
Produce original media: graphics, photos, short-form video, written content, and campaign collateral.
Translate project developments and stories into engaging, mission-driven language that resonates with Catholic audiences.
Support fundraising campaigns with creative content assets.
Maintain editorial calendar and coordinate with internal teams to align messaging.
Analyze engagement and optimize content performance.
Required
Practicing Catholic with a strong understanding of Catholic social teaching.
Strong writing and storytelling skills.
Creative experience in social media and digital content.
Comfort with visual media tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent).
Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage deadlines.
Preferred
Experience working with nonprofit communications.
Basic video editing skills.
Familiarity with Catholic audiences and Catholic nonprofit messaging.
This is a contract position with flexible hours. Compensation may be structured in one of two ways:
Hourly Contract:
$30 – $45 per hour based on experience and portfolio quality
Monthly Retainer (Part-Time):
$1,500 – $3,000 per month depending on scope of deliverables and hours
