I am an Animator (2D traditional and digital, 3D), Ilustrator and Art Director with 30 years of experience in most areas of Art production and publishing, including almost 20 years in the 2nd biggest broadcaster in the world (but 1st in production volume).  I was born in a catholic family and I was educated in catholic schools. I am married and father of a 23yo daughter. I'm looking for job opportunities that align with my beliefs in The Lord, Jesus Christ and His Church. Most of the job openings in my area are secular, to say the least, and I believe that producing Art that shows the beauty of our faith is the best way to be an artist and the best strategy to spread the Gospel among the young, which are also the most targeted by secular and worse kind of entertainment.

I am a lay Catholic theologian, catechist, and writer with over four years of experience mentoring individuals and developing faith formation resources. My mission is to help Catholics, especially the disaffiliated, skeptical, and seeking, rediscover the beauty and truth of the Church through doctrinal clarity, pastoral outreach, and liturgical catechesis. I’ve authored over two dozen theological essays, created a comprehensive RCIA and K–8 catechetical program (Adeptus), and led formation efforts for both parishioners and catechists. I am seeking a full-time role in ministry that aligns with the Church’s call to make disciples through fidelity to the Magisterium, deep evangelization, and the transformative power of the sacraments.

Mckenzie Maira is a writer, editor, educator, and pianist. She holds a BA in English and a BA in Music from Southeastern University, as well as a TESOL certificate from Wheaton College. She has extensive experience in editing, proofreading, ghostwriting, technical writing, tutoring, and piano accompaniment and instruction. While living on the island of Sicily for three years with her Italian-born husband, she found her way home from non-denominational Christianity to the one true Catholic Church. She is passionate about the written word, classical music, and Catholicism. When she is not editing a book or preparing for her next piano performance, you will find her praying the rosary, baking sourdough bread, or spending time with her husband and two children.

I have been a youth ministry leader at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Enterprise, AL for the past 7 years. In that time, our program has tripled in size and is continuing to grow. I also volunteered as a core team member for 5 years prior to taking over as youth ministry leader. I have a passion for working with junior high and high school teens and meeting them where they are in their faith journey. I enjoy working with parent volunteers to provide a team approach to faith formation. I have experience writing grants, putting together fundraisers, and taking teens on retreats, to summer camp, as well as to the national March for Life in Washington, D.C. I am excited to bring my knowledge and experience to a parish in need.

I love teaching, especially about our wonderful Catholic faith. Teaching, children, teens and adults about the love of Jesus and how that can be fully understood through the teachings of the Catholic faith has been my life vocation. I have a unique way of teaching where I break down the information and research interesting facts to help the students fully comprehend the information. I particularly love to incorporate sacred art in my lessons, because beautiful and well done sacred art is a teaching tool all on its own. By the grace of our Dear Lord Jesus, I have been afforded many various opportunities to teach, in public school, catholic school, in the parish setting, tutoring, homeschool setting as well as an online instructor. I have spent my free time learning as much as I am able about he Catholic faith through reading, scriptures, the Catholic Catechism, through amazing authors such as Stice, Hahn, Barron, Weddell, Sheen, Ratzinger, JPII, as well as researching our Catholic doctrines. I very much enjoy teaching youth about our wonderful Catholic faith, the sacraments, our Blessed Mother and about the love of Jesus. Another important thing to know about me is that I love organizing, I am a very social person and I am energized by working with people. It is an absolute priority for me to be dependable, organized and trustworthy. I am praying for and working towards a position that will allow me to share my Catholic Faith and share my educational knowledge with others in order to promote and defend the Catholic faith. I am currently working for my parish as the DRE in DeSmet, South Dakota.  I want to work for Our Dear Lord and His Catholic Church. Up until November of 2020 I held a position with St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salida, Colorado as the Religious Education, Youth and Young Adult Coordinator.  I have been involved with faith formation in one form or another for the last 30 years. I have been blessed with the opportunity to work with many homeschool families in Pennsylvania over the last 25 years as a homeschool evaluator. I interview homeschool students in grades K -12 and review their portfolios. I am able to read and evaluate their work and write a letter to the school district on each student’s progress that year. This has afforded me the experience of helping parents learn to grow in learning and faith along side their children. Parents are the first and most important teachers of their children. It is my goal to help families learn how to joyfully fulfill this calling from God. In Colorado, I had been working in a supervisory position in our parish and a neighboring parish for over 6 years. This experience allowed me to coordinate with people of many ages, skills and abilities in a professional setting. It has been my privilege to be involved with leadership training on the diocesan level for youth. It has been a priority to participate in ongoing training for youth and young adult coordinators provided through the Diocese of Colorado Springs. I am a ready learner and I take instruction well with any new skills required to meet the needs any Catholic education endeavor. On a personal note homeschooling is dear to me and my family. Both of my older 2 children graduated from our homeschool program. We used various programs over the years to meet the needs of our children. I would love the opportunity to share my Catholic faith with the Homeschool Connections family. To joyfully serve a “make a difference” organization that requires an experienced leader with integrity, excellent communication skills, values collaboration, is an effective fiscal manager, and has a history of trying to implement innovative and productive program development.   “ Serviam. Not I, but we. ” Leadership is more than guidance and willingness. It is more than providing a supportive environment for all people to feel comfortable working in. There are no patented 12-step programs which will ensure successful leadership. Listening skills, critical inquiry, and the collaborative pursuit of ‘win-win’ outcomes are important, but alone they are not enough. Leaders are not made by titles. Leaders do not make excuses or seek to redirect blame.   Leaders serve . A leader is defined by their inner desire…a desire to succeed regardless of the variables which their environment may present. A leader has not only the courage and foresight to do what is right, but also the fortitude and ability to lead others to a successful outcome.
