Director of Admissions & Advancement

Location: Tampa, FL

Supervisors: Head of School

Term: March 2026 – May 2027

Compensation: 70K

Hours: Full-time

We are searching for a motivated, positive, faith-filled, mission-aligned individual to join our team as the Director of Admissions & Advancement. This multifaceted role includes managing and executing operations related to admissions and enrollment, advancement, and events. The ideal person serving in this role both embodies and communicates our mission and values to all stakeholders, including current and prospective benefactors, parents, and students, as well as visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Admissions & Enrollment:

  • Acts as the main ambassador to prospective families, warmly and pro-actively guiding them through the admissions process and knowledgeable sharing about our school, curriculum, culture, extra-curricular offerings, etc.
  • Develops a comprehensive admissions plan to attract and engage mission-aligned families and students, including:
    • Plans and leads execution of our admissions events, including Open Houses, Tours, etc.
    • Represents us at community admissions-related events, e.g. school fairs
  • Works with the Director of Communications as needed to ensure strong, on-brand marketing for the school and admissions-related events, as well as any needed admissions or enrollment communications
  • Manage and execute admissions and enrollment data management, including re- enrollment, on FACTS
  • Manage the review and update of the Application, Family Information Packet, Enrollment Packet, and other admissions-related documents as needed (at least annually)
  • Define and effectively communicate admission processes to ensure clarity and collaboration between the admissions team, faculty, and administrators involved in these processes.
  • Coordinate and conduct family interviews and student shadow days
  • Create and share admissions and enrollment updates for review by the Head of School and the Board of Directors at monthly meetings
  • Keep Head of School and Board of Directors apprised of both prospective and current family feedback, so that we can work to meet the needs of families while upholding the school’s mission.

Fundraising:

  • Work with Board of Directors to develop an overall advancement vision for us
  • Connect with and cultivate meaningful, long-term relationships with donors
  • Solicit connections from Board, faculty, staff, current donors and school families to expand donor database
  • Serve as main point person for the February 2027 Gala
  • Develop new and maintain existing benefactor relationships through regular communication and meetings, as needed and appropriate
  • Recording gifts in database management system-- Bloomerang
  • Personally thank as well as provide tax-related acknowledgement of gifts on our behalf
  • Fundraise a goal of $200K in 2026-2027
  • Create and share Advancement updates for review by the Head of School and the Board of Directors at monthly meetings
  • Guide execution of external events (in particular the 2027 Gala) in line with school mission.
    • Engage participation of various parties (volunteers, administration, faculty, staff, board, etc.) as needed
    • Communicate vision, roles, timeline, and other details for each event in advance and with clarity so those participating are able meaningfully contribute to its success

Miscellaneous:

  • Assist with planning and project management of school events
